Fruits and Veggies are the perfect way to add nutrients to your cheesy sandwich. Try spinach, roasted peppers, red onions, tomatoes, avocados, apples, or pears.
Use More Than One Cheese
Try using a variety of cheese in your sandwich! Mozzarella, cheddar, and monterey jack make for a great grilled cheese. If you just want to try a cheese other than American or cheddar, try brie or gouda for a creamy decadent flavor.
Bacon, ham, prosciutto, or buffalo chicken make a yummy addition to any grilled cheese. The extra protein will help fill you up and keep you satisfied all day.
Sauces And Jams Are Your Best Friends
One way to add a bunch of flavor to your grilled cheese is with sauces and jams. Blueberry jam is delicious with creamy cheeses, as is balsamic vinegar, pesto, or cranberry sauce.
