Spice it Up with a Fun New Fall Date Night

Fall is in full swing and before you know it, it’ll be over! So make the most of the time that’s left by planning the perfect fall date night. There are so many fall activities to choose from, you’ll never be bored! We love the classics like apple or pumpkin picking, or getting lost in a corn maze, but there are a lot of different things to do you might not even think of! Here are some of our favorites:

Go Camping

Depending on where you live, this could be your last chance for a while to go camping! Find a nice spot to soak in all that nature has to offer and really focus on that quality time together. Pack all those yummy camping snacks and make a fun weekend of it! If you’re not as adventurous, try a backyard (or even living room) camp out instead!

Take a Leaf Peeping Road Trip

The colors of fall foliage are just plain magical. Take a drive and try and find the most beautiful trees. What’s your favorite, the red or the orange leaves? This can be as long or short as you want! Find a new place, get lost in the countryside, take the road less traveled. Foliage only peaks for so long, enjoy it while it lasts!

Tailgate at a Football Game

Football is a staple of the fall season. And who doesn’t love a good tailgate?! This doesn’t have to be for an expensive NFL game, local college games can be a blast too! Take a trip back to your alma mater for homecoming and get all those nostalgic feels. If your beau is from a different school, this is a great opportunity to show him around while also experiencing that school spirit and soaking up all that fall fun.

Go to a Brewery or Vineyard Tasting

Sure, you can do this any time of the year, but fall is just so much fun! Snuggle up and hit a couple different breweries or park yourself at a vineyard for a few hours. Brewery tours in the fall could also mean trying some pumpkin beer or maybe even hard apple cider. We love those fall flavors!

Take a Cooking Class

Once again, something you can obviously do any time of the year, but who doesn’t love fall food?! Those warm, cozy comfort foods are to die for and a cooking class could really up your game and take that crockpot recipe to a whole new level you didn’t see coming!

Go Hiking

Hiking is really the whole package if you think about it. You get some great exercise while enjoying nature and are rewarded with a killer view at the end. Seriously, what’s better than that?

Explore a Haunted House

Halloween anyone? ‘Tis the season for a good spook! Plus, having a big strong man protect you in a haunted house isn’t the worst thing in the world. Grab your partner and some friends and create some memories! Every haunted house ends up with some hilarious stories you’ll remember for years to come.

Stargaze

There’s just something so romantic about stargazing. Being all snuggled up on a blanket in the cool night looking out into the universe make us swoon a little. Find a nice place with little to no light pollution and just watch the world go by. Make sure you’re prepared with a stargazing app so you can find different constellations, too!

Host a Halloween Movie Night

If you’re not a big outdoors person, snuggle up on the couch instead! We love a good Halloween movie marathon night. You can go with your spooky, creepy flicks or stick with the fun classics (Hocus Pocus anyone?). Keep it intimate with just you and your beau or open it up to some other couples to join. Pop the popcorn and you’re ready to rock!

Go for a Picnic

Picnics are always a good time! Pack up a yummy basket filled with your seasonal favorites and head to a local park to relax and enjoy the crisp fall air. Watch the leaves fall, snuggle up, and just be together.

Carve Some Pumpkins

Another Halloween classic, we love pumpkin carving! It brings back all those fond childhood memories, but now you’re probably way more skilled and can make some pretty impressive pumpkins. If you’re not into the carving thing, try painting them!

There is always added pressure to get your Valentine’s Day date right; it needs to be the most romantic date of the year, but sometimes it’s hard deciding what to do! To help, we’ve rounded up a bunch of date ideas sure to create memories, romance, and an atmosphere for your love to grow!

Stay in if you want - no one ever said Valentine’s Day had to be glamorous! Do the opposite of what you and your significant other always do. If you’re the kind of couple that stays in and watches Netflix in your old Christmas pajamas year round, try that new restaurant in town that everyone’s been raving about instead of the same old takeout! If you’re the kind of couple that’s always moving, always on the go, and you never get the opportunity to unwind together, then an easy movie night in could be the best Valentine’s date ever.

If a night in isn’t for you, be spontaneous! Head to a city or town nearby that you’ve never been to. If you want to avoid V-Day crowds, consider making it an earlier day and check out the local breakfast places. Romance doesn’t have to be a candlelit dinner with flowers galore - coffee works, too! Take the time to walk around and enjoy being in an entirely unknown place together. Window-shop the stores you come across, and enjoy exploring somewhere new with your love hand in hand!

If you’re not feeling confident about your cooking skills but you still want to impress your S/O with something homemade, check out the cooking classes offered in your area. They’re not too expensive, and not only will you learn something new, but you’ll get to do it with your love and eat a delicious meal afterwards!

You might feel a little guilty indulging in a massage for just yourself any other time of year, but a couple’s massage or spa day is the perfect environment to get the two of you relaxed. And get that facial you’ve been dreaming about while you’re at it! You’ll be feeling confident, stress-free, and ready to enjoy the night together.

For a little more romance, recreate your first date, or take it back to where you first met. If you spent it at the movies, go to the same theater and get the large popcorn you were too nervous to get on your first date. Take a walk around the park that you met in, or enjoy a nice meal at the restaurant you first fumbled over conversation in. Reminiscing can be very romantic, and chances are, your S/O will be impressed with all the thought that went into it!
