We are so excited that summer is finally here! What better way to celebrate than with a stunning table design you can replicate at home? This year, we’re loving soft pastels, big blooms, and linen! Putting together a gorgeous tablescape may seem daunting, but with a few simple tricks up your sleeve, it’s a lot easier than you would think. Plus, it makes a huge difference and will really “wow” your guests! The key points to this table? Layers and pops of color! Let’s break it down.

The Base
If you look closely, you’ll notice that the main anchor pieces are all very neutral and simple. The tablecloth is a simple white with some eyelet detailing, layered with a linen table runner that ties in with the cloth napkins. The dishes are a simple, clean white as well. These are great staple pieces that give you a lot of versatility and will look good in any styling of tablescape. We highly suggest selecting a nice white or off-white dish set for your home for this reason!
Textures
A variety of textures and layers comes into play with this tablescape. These are elements that create a really interesting and beautiful look without overpowering the eye with too many colors. Most of the time, we opt for texture and layers paired with just a pop of brighter color mixed in. It gives a refined and elegant look to your table with little effort. Plus, like we already mentioned, it gives you a lot of versatility if you have basic pieces that can fit into different styles. One of our favorite layers/texture on this table are the chargers. These woven pieces are a nice neutral, so they aren’t too distracting, but bring lots of depth and texture. They’re a little more casual and give a fun, summer-y feel to the place setting.

We also pulled in some texture with the colored goblets. We love to have multiple glasses per setting. This gives options for a cocktail and water, but also adds another layer to the table. These pale pink glasses give a slight pop of color that ties in with the florals while the clear goblets give some texture and a pop of metallic with the gold. It’s a fun pop of elegance!
Centerpiece
This is a great look that blends nicely from spring to summer. We love working with season and fresh blooms. These pastel colors add just a pop of color to the table that ties in nicely with the glassware and linens. We added an additional splash of color with some fresh grapefruit on the table! Fruits are a fun and easy way to add more detail to the table without a big price tag. This bouquet is made up of:
- Alstroemeria
- Carnations
- Daisies
- Pink lilies
- White roses
- White hydrangea sprayed with floral paint
